Swanlite was involved in the lighting design and supply of the approved luminaire solution, for the new Builders Express - Durban North Store. Our design, for the main trading floor areas comprised a combination of both linear TL-5 80W Batten luminaires with white reflective wings (mounted at 3.3m) and surface mount TL-5 80W High Bay luminaires (mounted at 6m). This approach facilitated and provided lux levels, in accordance with the Client’s requirements, with exceptional ‘light uniformity’ across the store’s “High Ceiling - Open Spaces” and “Low Ceiling - Closed Aisle Spaces”. LED down lights were used in the centre median, where the store heights change.

Power Super Spar Matubtuba underwent a full internal and external lighting upgrade, which Swanlite was delighted to be awarded, based on our lighting design proposal and solution offerings. An economical, yet highly efficient and effective  TL-5 solution was used in the main trading floor area. The exceptional Lux levels and Uniformities achieved have completely rejuvenated the in-store shopping experience. The exterior security and night time features have been further enhanced through the installation of various LED luminaires.
