Oakley Xover 2016

Jeffreys Bay – As promised last year, Oakley South Africa is set to return to JBay with a bigger and better X Over event – a celebrity cross over tournament – with an entry list that reads like a who’s who of sports celebrities in the country. Swanlite is proud to be a partner of this years event and we cant wait to see the #XOVER16  action unfold !

“This year we have added six new iconic athletes into the mix, being Gugu Zulu, Schalk Burger, Giniel De Villiers, Seabelo Senatla, Nick De Wit and Jean De Villiers, and have secured our own show on Supersport, so the public will get to witness their sports heroes pushing their limits in the various sporting categories. Certainly an event not to be missed!”

The Oakley X Over consists of a golf tournament, a mountain bike race and a surfing contest, and will take place on 13-14 July. It will form part of the JBay Winterfest, which runs from 6-17 July in Jeffreys Bay and environs.

Kearsney College, Hockey Field, Flood Lighting

Kearsney College, a prestigious school located in Bothas Hill, Durban, requested the upgrade of their existing Hockey Field (Astro Turf) Flood Lighting. In conjunction with Ramble Malone, Swanlite designed and supplied a solution that met all specifications.  Using Thorn  Luminaires and 2KW Lamps we were able to deliver an average of 500lux across the pitch. In addition to this, a switching system was installed such that the pitch could be illuminated at various levels on a share bases between Kearsney and Hockey Club. Hence we were able to provide a smart solution with maximum efficiency, with the flexibility of split billing.
